Brothers and Sisters,
After confirmed reports of moon sightings from New Jersey, Stamford Islamic Center (SIC) Board has announced that the 1st of Dhul-Hijjah 1441 was Wednesday, July 22nd. InshAllah, Eid-Ul-Adha will be on Friday July 31, 2020. Yaumul Arafah (9th Dhul-Hijjah) will be on Thursday July 30th.
Eid ul Adha prayers will be at the Stamford Islamic Center on Friday July 31, 2020. (379 West Ave Stamford, CT 06902). To accommodate our community members and business owners we are planning to do 3 different Jamaats starting as early as 6:45 am: Please be on time, we have plenty of parking available prior to office hours:
First Jamaat: 6:45 am (Sharp)
Second Jamaat: 7:15 am (Sharp)
Third Jamaat: 7:45 am (Sharp)
For safety and health of our congregants it is important that we always comply with following rules:
1. Maximum number of congregants/attendees at any one time is limited to a certain capacity to first come first serve policy will apply.
2. All congregants/attendees MUST wear face coverings and gloves while within the SIC campus at all times.
3. A distance of at least 6 ft is always required to be maintained amongst all individuals.
4. All congregants/ attendees should bring their own musallah.
5. All congregants/attendees should bring a plastic bag for shoes.
6. Each congregant/attendee will limit their touching of any surfaces, including handrails, door- knobs and walls.
7. Each congregant/attendee shall restrain/avoid from holding or shaking hands, hugging, kissing of members of different households while at SIC.
8. The restrooms will be limited in capacity. Please come to SIC with your wudu. As restrooms and washrooms are closed.
9. Please stay home if you have an underlying health condition or low immunity.
10. Any congregant/attendee that has any of the following is prohibited from attending SIC, if any of these apply:
a. Any symptom of COVID-19 within the prior 14 days.
b. Positive COVID-19 test results within the prior 14 days.
c. Close contact with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases within the prior 14 days.
