Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuh!
Dear Respected Members of Stamford Islamic Center (SIC) and the Muslim Community of Fairfield County – Phase 2 Opening Announcement !
It had been over the past three months that we were forced to make the difficult decision to close the Islamic Center for all prayer services to our community. It helped immensely with pausing the community spread of the pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic has made a lasting impact on each one of us and how we interact as a community during Ramadan and Eid.  We have been looking forward to the moment to receive guidance from local and state government authorities with coordination from the Mayor’s Office, WHO and the CDC and our Muslim Scholars to initiate Phase 2 and resume our Jummah Salah at SIC

We ask the entire community to seriously pay close attention in abiding by the following policies set forth by the Board for our own protection and safety.

SIC Phase 2 Reopening: Jummah Salah

General Mandatory Guidelines for All Attendees:

Upon entering the SIC , all attendees, regardless of their age, may be requested to submit to a temperature check. In addition, only persons wearing a mask will be admitted. Once in the facility, social distancing must be observed at all times.
In order for us to maintain a smooth flow of traffic, upon leaving the facility.

Additionally:

  1. No registration required for Jummah Salah.  First come basis, stay in the car and wait for next Jummah if we have reached capacity.
  2. Congregants/Attendees will be required to utilize the rooftop for all prayers.
  3. All congregants/attendees MUST wear face coverings while within the SIC campus.
  4. Dr. Hafiz Haqqani Mian Qadri will give the Bayan for three (3) Jummahs: 12:30 PM, online Insha’Allah. Link will be provided. 
  5. First Salah 1:15 pm -Second Salah 1:45 pm and – Third Salah 2:15 pm.
  6. A distance of at least 6 ft is always required to be maintained amongst all individuals.
  7. All congregants/ attendees should bring their own musallah/prayer rugs.
  8. Each congregant/attendee will limit their touching of any surfaces, including handrails, door- knobs and walls.
  9. Each congregant/attendee shall restrain from holding or shaking hands of members of different households while at SIC.
  10. Please come to SIC with your wudu as rest rooms are close as a precaution.
  11. It is highly recommended that children under the age of 10 years, the elderly and/or any congregants/attendees with compromised immune systems and or underlying health conditions not attend any Jummah Salat during this Phase 2 reopening.
  12. Any congregant/attendee that has any of the following is prohibited from attending SIC during this Phase 2 reopening:
  13. Any symptom of COVID-19 within the prior 14 days.
  14. Positive COVID-19 test results within the prior 14 days.
  15. Close contact with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases within the prior 14 days.
